Hotel - Restaurant Meteora in Tubingen

Excellent Greek cuisine. 👍

The fried squid that my husband ate was delicious. I can't say the same thing about the dorado I ate because it was out of seasoning. In fact, eating a good fish in Tübingen is a difficult task. And it was unpleasant to see the owner or manager of the restaurant speaking aggressively to an employee. A rude man. I don't go to the restaurant to watch a chef show in the middle of the room. The waitress was very attentive to us.

Another hotel would have been better, we won't be back

Upon entering, we first encountered a smell of old fat. The pita was baked in oil and we don't want to talk about the content. Vegetables too soft and tasteless. The calamari also had a strange taste. Only thing that was okay was the gyros. After we had left 3 meals almost completely, we weren't even asked whether everything was okay and whether it tasted good. We're not coming anymore!

The breakfast buffet and the location were absolutely OK. It took about 10 minutes to walk to the old town. Room in itself quite newly renovated and nice. The room was in a somewhat strange-looking adjoining building, which also houses technical equipment and Telekom premises. Also looks like a commercial building u. not like a hotel. In the bathroom there was no toothbrush cup at the sink and the like. also elsewhere in the room, unfortunately nowhere to find a mug or glass. Black mold in a corner of the fairly new shower. The very large flat screen / TV in the room (apparently with magenta TV) did not work at all, as there was a connection problem, no TV reception possible, or any TV program to be seen on it. On my direct request at the reception I got the message restart by plugging the system out u. to do again what I have followed (even several times), but also without success. In response to my renewed objection that it still does not work, I am told that you cannot take care of it now, because you have to do in the kitchen and can take care of it in one or two hours at the earliest (it would be a long time after that 11 p.m.). So during the entire stay in the evening and in the morning no TV reception. On departure again pointed out the shortcomings: Except for a bland apology, nothing came up; no discount, etc.

The pita gyros was really one of the worst I've eaten in a long time! The whole pita just tasted like herbs (dill) so we didn't even finish it. It used to be really delicious in the Meteora.

I don't know how this hotel got its very good rating. There is a musty and musty smell in the whole hotel and in the room. A provisionally set up reception desk behind the counter at the door ... doesn't work at all. Staff rude and the room was dingy. Shower was not tight, old and in need of renovation. I felt very uncomfortable with the stench in the room. At 11 p.m. at night, the garbage from the restaurant was disposed of behind the house and it was loud. Also full of trash. Definitely cannot recommend it.

Stayed in the hotel, the room was nice and clean.The hotel os in a quiet place and not far to a downtown. Staff very friendly and helpful. The restaurant food very good, it serves most greek food. The prices are good aswell.

The staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean and very nicely decorated. Breakfast is extensive. If we have to go back to Tuebingen we will book here again immediately.

simple hotel with flaws. what was good: - comfortable beds - quiet location in a side street - Downtown can be reached on foot in 20 minutes what was not good: - Room quite small - inconveniently furnished small bathroom - Toilet placed unnecessarily high and very uncomfortable - No coat hooks in the room and little space for clothes - Moderate breakfast, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages only lukewarm, rolls tough and very soft, bread with freezer burn - 10 euros surcharge if you don't want to pay with cash Conclusion: just ok for 1-2 nights

Great hotel and a very good Greek restaurant. Come almost every week, very friendly boss and staff.

Very delicious food, great decorated plates, lots of vegetables, side salads and a lot of choice for vegetarians too! We had a nice evening, were welcomed and served in a friendly manner and will definitely be back!

The room next door was clean and well furnished. Requests are met promptly. Staff is very friendly. Even a nightcap in the evening without food was no problem. The wait staff are very courteous. In short: we'll be back !!!!

Friendly staff, great breakfast. Convenient free parking and close to old town. Tubingen was such a lively and beautiful place to visit.

The room I stayed in was pretty small, the bed mattress felt really cheap and uncomfortable. The staff at the reception was not nice. Overall I wasn't happy at all.

It is highly recommended to dine in the hotel restaurant. There is a good selection of Greek dishes that are very tasty and rich. The prices are also quite cheap. For a few short days, this hotel is highly recommended.

The location of the hotel is nice: easy to access by car. The hotel rooms are fine, but the decorations look a bit cheap. The breakfast buffet is good and has many options. The restaurant serves nice Greek food, but nothing special.

We were warmly welcomed here and given a clean room. the staff was quite helpful. Since this hotel is located in an older settlement and is therefore getting on in years, the rooms are inevitably smaller, but adequate. You can also see that something has been done here again and again. The little Greek accents in the room and bathroom are also loving. The restaurant was very well attended and with interesting greenery. Here we got a nice breakfast, appropriate for an accommodation of this category. The rolls were very commendable! They were totally fresh and very tasty. We chose this accommodation because of its proximity to the old town, we were totally satisfied and will definitely be back. Parking spaces are available in front of the house.

The food was awful it was a bad copy of Turkish food pronounced as greek food. The rooms are not that bad, but the stuff was arrogant. If you compare with other hotels in Tubingen it’s not worst.

Hotel with an attached Greek restaurant, very nice service and good breakfast. The rooms are modern and appear newly renovated. The windows are very soundproof, we had a room above the restaurant terrace and as soon as the window was closed, it was quiet. It is also not loud in the evening ... so that later you can sleep with the windows open and in the morning you will be woken up by the scent of coffee. The restaurant has Greek and German dishes, and the service is very nice here too. The dishes are simple and tasty. It's a good 15-20 minute walk to the city center, but there are also a few buses that run not far from the hotel. But you can also discover one or the other beautiful building or bistro on foot.

This is just a small hotel with small rooms, nothing special. The bathroom is also very tiny. I felt a bit cramped. There is a Greek restaurant below. The breakfast is ok but could have more fruits. During my stay, the Internet wasn't very good as I lost the connection frequently and it was slow. On the positive side, the neighborhood is quiet and good for walks. The downtown area is not too far. Last time in Tuebingen, I stayed at the Hotel Katharina garni which may be a little more walking up the hill but is much better.
